Studio Visit

Several weeks ago I was visiting friends in the Asheville area of North Carolina. While there, I had the privilege of visiting the home and studios of sculptor Shane Snider and  his wife, artist/educator, Tamie Beldue. I was introduced to Shane's work through his website by searching for artists who use concrete - one of my obsessions. Here are links to their websites:

Shane's recent work beautifully combines wood and concrete into elegant figures. I wish I had taken more photos :-(

Shane and Tamie (left) behind their unique home, with my friends David and Susan. Besides spacious studios and a lovely home, the location is to die for. But I'm not jealous.
